Assistant coach of the Hungarian national football team Adam Salaj is in a stable condition after losing consciousness in the fifth round match of group 3 of the elite division of the League of Nations against the Netherlands.
The incident happened in the seventh minute of the match in Amsterdam. The players surrounded the bench, and Salai was immediately given medical attention.
The Hungarian Football Association later clarified that the coach who lost consciousness was Adam Salaj, who had previously played for the national team. He is "stable and conscious" after being taken to hospital in Amsterdam by ambulance.
After a short break, the football match continued. The Netherlands prevailed 4:0 and secured a place in the quarter-finals of the Nations League.
