Milan's Dutch midfielder Tijani Reynders brought the visitors from Milan a 1-0 victory over Verona in a contested match from the 17th round of the Italian Serie A. Reynders scored the only goal in the 56th minute, and with the success, Milan climbed to seventh position in the standings with 26 points. Verona have suffered their 12th defeat in 17 games since the start of the season and are in 17th place with 15 points.
In the 56th minute, Reynders made a great breakthrough, beating the home defenders and heading the ball into the Verona goal, as Milan claimed only their second win in their last six Serie A matches.
Goalkeeper Tijani Reynders said the win was crucial after the goalless draw against Genoa.
"A very important win. We didn't win in our previous match, so we had to respond in this one and it was difficult, but now we have the three points and we can celebrate," he told DAZN.
Verona came closer to scoring in the first half, with Milan striker Rafael Leao forced off in the 32nd minute with a thigh problem.
