The Nottingham Forest team continues its excellent performance in the English Premier League, having won over Brentford 2:0 on their visit in the 17th round. Ola Aina opened the score for the guests in the 38th minute, Anthony Elanga made it 2:0 shortly after the resumption of play in the second half. The team now has 31 points and at least temporarily overtook Arsenal for third position. Brentford is in 12th position, BTA reported.
Newcastle was even more convincing and won over Ipswich 4:0 on their visit. A hat-trick for the "Magpies" was scored by Swedish striker Alexander Isak. The fourth goal was scored by Jacob Murphy. At the end of the match, Dan Byrne scored the ball for the fifth time in the Ipswich net, but the goal was disallowed due to an offside position. Newcastle made an excellent operation, climbing several places in the standings and are now seventh, just a point behind Manchester City. Ipswich remains in 18th position.
West Ham and Brighton drew 1-1 in another match of the round. Mats Weaver opened the score for the "Seagulls" in the 51st minute, but Mohamed Qudus equalized for the "Hammers" a little later. Brighton remained in ninth place, while West Ham retained their 14th position.
