Vezenkov: The pleasant atmosphere in the locker room is a great advantage for Olympiacos - 1

Olympiacos' leading scorer Alexander Vezenkov said that the thing that most distinguishes the Greek team from the others is the pleasant atmosphere inside the locker room, reported sportal.bg.

The Bulgarian pointed out that everyone in the team is like one family, which contributes greatly to the successes in recent years. Olympiacos is preparing for its participation in the Final Four in the Euroleague next week, and the Bulgarian answered some quick questions in front of the Greek media about both the team itself, the Euroleague and the NBA.

"Yorgos Bartsokas (head coach of Olympiacos - editor's note) is very easy to work with. He is not the person you see on television. There is a good atmosphere in other teams, but with us we are like a family and this is mostly his merit", said Vezenkov.

The Bulgarian was also asked who is the player he would like to play with in the future. He pointed to the Paris playmaker TJ Shorts. According to Vezenkov, the American with a Macedonian passport is the player who has the best chance of making a career in the NBA if he leaves the Euroleague.

When asked where it is most difficult to play, the Bulgarian pointed to the hall of the eternal rival Panathinaikos - "OAKA", as well as Partizan's away games in Belgrade. The player who likes to talk the most is Monaco's Alpha Diallo, whom Vezenkov compared to Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The national team expressed hope that the Denver Nuggets will win the NBA title and that Olympiacos will do the same in the Euroleague. When asked last whether there would be a final in Abu Dhabi between two Greek teams, Vezenkov said: "It would be great to play a Euroleague final with Panathinaikos, but the most important thing is that we qualify. The rest is not so important".
