Bulgarian national goalkeeper Dimitar Mitov saved two penalties for his Aberdeen in the final against Celtic and brought his team the Scottish Football Cup with his performances, BNR reported.
Regular time and extra time ended with a score of 1:1, and in the penalty shootout Mitov saved the first (from McGregor) and the last of the five penalties (from Johnston) of the rivals and Aberdeen was more successful from the penalty spot - 4:3.
In the playing time, Dorrington from Aberdeen scored an own goal for Celtic in the 39th minute and Celtic goalkeeper Schmeichel in the 83rd minute for the "Dons".
The cup is the eighth for the club and the first in 35 years. And champions Celtic were left with two domestic trophies this season and failed to achieve a treble.
