The great legend of Levski football Kiril Ivkov passed away at the age of 78. He has a total of 374 matches and 14 goals for the "blues" in all tournaments. With the team from "Gerena" the famous defender has four championship titles (1968, 1970, 1974, 1977) and four-time winner of the Soviet Army Cup (1970,1971, 1976, 1977), BNR reported.
Ivkov is the Footballer of Bulgaria for 1974 and 1975. He has 44 matches and one goal for the national team, being a participant in the World Cup'74 in Germany and a silver medalist at the Olympic Games in Mexico City.
Ivkov leaves this world exactly on the 111th birthday of his beloved football club Levski.
