Bulgarian Alexander Vezenkov and his Olympiacos won third place in the men's basketball Euroleague after defeating Panathinaikos 97:93 (33:20, 24:26, 18:18, 22:29) in the Greek derby of the Final Four of the competition in Abu Dhabi. For the Bulgarian, this is the first bronze medal of the tournament, and he also has a second place with Olympiacos in the 2022/2023 season, BTA reported.
Vezenkov demonstrated his familiar high level and scored 23 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 3 steals in 28 minutes on the court.
Olympiacos had superiority throughout the match and maintained its lead, which reached 15 points at 29:14 in the first half. At the break, coach Giorgos Bartsokas' players led 57:46, and after the third half their lead was 75:64.
