Nikola Tsolov: All of Bulgaria is part of my team - 1

Nikola Tsolov achieved his fifth victory in the Formula 3 car races. The Bulgarian started from first position in the Monaco Grand Prix race and maintained his leading position from the start to the finish. With the victory, the Bulgarian added 26 points to his assets for the general classification and now occupies third position with 59.

"We were not completely calm whether things would work out today. I tried to isolate myself from all the problems and think positively. I managed to make a good start and then I simply managed the race. I knew that I certainly had the necessary pace and the confidence that I would cope. Everything went according to plan. Monaco is certainly one of my favorite tracks. Coming to training, my confidence was good. I knew that the pace would be good, as I was confident in myself. I showed it in training, then in qualifying and in the race. We recorded first place everywhere. There was no better way to end this weekend, with total dominance", said Nikola Tsolov after the race for the Bulgarian National Radio.

The Bulgarian also commented on which victory is dearer to him - today's or the one last year, when he won the sprint in Monaco.

"Last year the victory was very sweet, because it was the first. Now it's sweet again, because it's in the main race and it's a record fifth in Formula 3. I can't say which is better. This year was certainly more dominant, so maybe I would put it on a higher level," added the "Campos Racing" pilot and added:

“I want to thank everyone who is around me, both physically and morally. I thank the fans for all the support. They also play a key role in my successes. What I do, I do together with them. We are one team - all of Bulgaria is part of my team. Thank you very much, because this support charges me with positive energy. The Bulgarian flags on the stands motivate me. I get more and more inspired, knowing that there are Bulgarians who come to the races to support me. This boosts my self-confidence".

Nikola Tsolov also commented on the upcoming race in Barcelona. "This is a track that everyone knows with their eyes closed. Things will be very close. Historically, our team has done well there in previous years, but with the old car. Now we will see. I hope that with the new car we can keep the pace and after a good weekend like this, we can continue in this rhythm. We have bad moments like qualifying, for example. It is not our strongest point, but this weekend we turned things around a bit. After all, the track is special, so we do not know how events will develop in Barcelona. The biggest test will be qualifying again. Winning is always the most important thing, but consistency will be the most key in this championship. Consistency and good qualifying," concluded the Bulgarian driver.
