One of Ludogorets' main players last season, Ivaylo Chochev, gave a special interview to Sportal.bg.
The experienced midfielder spoke about the successful past season of the team from Razgrad, and also revealed his expectations for the new one.
„We achieved what we wanted, to win all three trophies. We had a lot of good moments that made us proud and happy. I cannot specifically identify one moment, but I think the year was fruitful. Our goal is to perform better in Europe than last year“, shared Chochev.
The footballer of the „Eagles“ also gave an assessment of his individual performance, revealing his opinion about the personal award he received. Chochev also spoke about some of the important goals he scored during the season against teams like Levski, CSKA and Botev (Plovdiv)
„I want to thank absolutely everyone who voted for me. I am extremely happy. After all, the players and coaches choosing you is the most indicative of what you do during the season. I hope to continue to perform well. Every goal is difficult, but maybe against these teams the goal is sweeter. I am glad that I scored important goals. I hope that in the new season I will continue to score. What is required of my position is not to score goals, but when I do I am happy and I am glad that I manage to help the team“ he concluded.
The midfielder also revealed his opinion about the Bulgarian national team and the upcoming match with Spain.
„Everyone wants to play against such opponents. Even when I'm not in the national team, I watch every game and keep my fingers crossed for the boys. In every camp, when they gather them. Even if I'm not called, as in the last camps, I'll keep my fingers crossed for the team. Of course, if I'm called, I'll be happy and I'll give everything I'm capable of," the Bulgarian player revealed.
