Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) set the fastest time in the third free practice before the British Formula 1 Grand Prix, BTA reports. The top 3 drivers are separated by less than a tenth of a second.
Leclerc was fastest with a time of 1:25.498 minutes on the 5.891-kilometer "Silverstone" track, 0.068 seconds ahead of the leader in the drivers' standings, Oscar Piastre (McLaren). World champion Max Verstappen of Red Bull was an additional 0.087 seconds off the pace of the champion.
Lando Norris (McLaren) was 0.108 seconds behind his teammate.
Lewis Hamilton, who was fastest in the first practice session on Friday, finished only 11th. The Briton, now a Ferrari driver, holds the record for wins at "Silverstone" with nine.
