"His name is Ivan - a man who lives in the country: Oleksandr Usyk knocked out Daniel Dubois with a special blow - 1

Olyksandr Usyk believes that only discipline is the key to success and revealed a special blow called "Ivan" that helped him win against Daniel Dubois, BTA reported.

The Ukrainian became the absolute world heavyweight boxing champion for the second time in his career after a knockout victory in the fifth round in the match with the Briton Daniel Dubois at "Wembley" in London.

When asked how he managed to continue competing with such enthusiasm at the age of 38, Usyk told reporters: "I don't have motivation, I have discipline. Motivation is temporary, you have it today, you wake up early tomorrow and you don't have it. When I wake up early in the morning for training, I never have motivation, I only have discipline. Only amateur athletes need motivation. Motivation is good, but discipline is better.“

Usyk said that he and his team have put into practice the lessons learned from their first fight with Dubois, adding that they even named the exact combination of punches that led to their victory.

„We prepared for this fight with my team. We learned from the first fight, we had a long time, two years, to prepare a special combination of punches. The punch is called Ivan. A Ukrainian name, imagine a big guy who lives in the countryside and works on a farm! It's a powerful punch.“

Although Usyk did not specify who he will face next, he stressed that he is not ready to take off his gloves and end his career yet.

"Now I want to rest. I can't say who my next opponent is today because I've been preparing for three and a half months. I don't see my family, my wife," he said.

"Every day I live with my team, with 14 guys in one house. Every day just the same faces. Now I want to go back home. I want to make a choice about what's next. I'll keep boxing, I'll keep training, but now I can't say who my next opponent is.“
