Spanish striker Carles Perez, a former Roma and Barcelona footballer, experienced an extremely unpleasant incident in Thessaloniki.
The Aris player was admitted to hospital with a serious wound in the groin area after being bitten by a dog during a walk.
According to information from Greek media, Perez had been taking his dog for a walk when it was attacked by another dog, left without a reason by its owner. The Spaniard intervened to protect his animal, but in the chaos he himself became the victim of the attack and received a painful wound in the groin area. He had to have six stitches.
His condition initially caused serious concern, including at his contract club - Celta Vigo, which owns his rights. We recall that Carles Perez played for Roma between 2020 and 2022, before continuing his career in Greece.
Later, the football player's staff clarified that Perez was bitten in the groin area, but without damage to the genitals. The wound is localized in the adductor area and does not require surgical intervention. After an urgent examination at a hospital, where he was admitted urgently with a red code, doctors determined that surgery was not necessary.
The football player has already been discharged and will undergo rehabilitation therapy, with the hope of returning to the field soon.
