Finnish tire giant Nokian Tyres has announced a huge move, introducing its new global brand ambassador: the legendary “Iceman” – Formula 1 World Champion, Kimi Raikkonen. The joining of forces between Nokian Tyres and the famous Finnish driver aims to accelerate the brand’s international recognition and strengthen its presence in global markets.
In an official statement, Teina Fraser, Vice President “Brand, Marketing and Communications” at Nokian Tyres, highlighted the common DNA between the driver and the company: “Kimi Raikkonen and Nokian Tyres share common Finnish roots, uncompromising performance and the ability to succeed in truly challenging conditions. Both are ready for extreme challenges – whether it's conquering the race track or driving on roads with changing and harsh weather conditions.“
Kimi Raikkonen himself expressed his enthusiasm for the new partnership: “It's great to start working with Nokian Tyres - a brand that I remember from the time when my parents took me to the karting tracks, before I even had a driver's license. In my opinion, Nokian Tyres is an iconic Finnish brand and I will be happy to spread the word about these great tires around the world.“
Kimi Raikkonen, known by his nickname “The Iceman”, is one of the most loved and respected drivers in Formula 1. As the 2007 world champion with Ferrari, he has left a lasting mark on the history of motorsport. His remarkable career spans more than two decades, including 349 Grand Prix starts, 21 race wins and an impressive 103 podium finishes. His commitment to Nokian Tyres will undoubtedly bring an additional dose of authenticity and high expertise to the brand's communication, especially when it comes to control and reliability in the most severe winter and variable conditions.
