The Japanese startup Icoma launches its first model - the original Tatamel Bike electric scooter. If necessary, this vehicle can be folded and turned into a kind of suitcase on wheels. Details of the new product were revealed on the Icoma website.
The new Icoma Tatamel Bike is a compact electric scooter with folding wheels and steering wheel. Its main elements are hidden in a special box, and the wheels are lowered from it, that is, the electric scooter can be rolled on the road or taken in public transport. The weight of the Icoma Tatamel Bike is only 63 kg.
The electric scooter gets diode optics and NFC connectivity. A small electric motor accelerates the Icoma Tatamel Bike scooter up to 40 km/h. The declared range with a 12 Ah battery is 30 km - this is enough for daily use in the city, especially if you combine the scooter with the subway or other type of public transport.
A version with a 29 Ah battery and a range of over 60 km will also appear later. Orders are now being accepted for the Icoma Tatamel scooter from ¥498,000 ($3,170). The first electric scooters will be delivered to customers in October. See more about the innovation in the video.
