Technological giant Xiaomi continues to gain momentum in the automotive industry as well, starting the construction of a second Xiaomi Automobile plant. This is what the Chinese media are writing about.
The new factory has an area of 531 thousand square meters, construction is in full swing, and the foundations are already partially completed. In addition to the Phase II plant, Xiaomi is expected to spend more than 200 million yuan to purchase land for further expansion.
The second phase includes the construction of 391.5 thousand square meters. m of above-ground buildings and 8,503 thousand sq.m. m underground structures, about 15% of the territory will be allocated for green areas. The plans include the construction of a parking lot for a thousand cars.
The second phase of the plant is intended to become a key link in increasing the production of the second Xiaomi car - SUV MX11. Deliveries are expected to accelerate and development of new models will begin. Xiaomi's third car will be quite low-budget and with increased mileage.
It is possible that supercasting technology will also be introduced in the second plant, which will reduce costs and speed up production time. Similar technology is already being used in the first plant.
