US President Donald Trump said he will file a $15 billion defamation and libel lawsuit against the “New York Times“ newspaper, Reuters reported, BTA reported.
"Today I have the great honor to file a $15 billion defamation and libel lawsuit against the "New York Times"" newspaper, Trump said in a post on his social media platform "Truth Social".
The lawsuit will be filed in Florida, Trump announced, without giving further details on the case.
"The New York Times" did not immediately respond to a request for comment, Reuters reported. Trump accused the newspaper of lying about him, his family and his business.
