70-year-old former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro was discharged from the hospital where he was admitted on Tuesday due to a sudden illness, FOCUS reported.
According to the medical report, upon admission he was "dehydrated, with tachycardia and low blood pressure". Medical tests showed "anemia and impaired kidney function".
On Sunday, he received medical care, including surgical removal of skin lesions. "The tests showed that two of the lesions were early stages of skin cancer. "This has already been treated by removal, but constant monitoring is needed to ensure that no new lesions appear and that everything has been removed," Bolsonaro's doctor, Claudio Birolin, told reporters, as quoted by ProtoThema.
Brazil's Supreme Court on Thursday sentenced Jair Bolsonaro to 27 years and three months in prison for attempting a coup after his defeat in the 2022 election by the country's current president, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
