US President Donald Trump said last night that he was declaring the left-wing, anti-fascist movement "Antifa" as a terrorist organization, following the murder of right-wing political activist Charlie Kirk, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
"I will also recommend that those who fund "Antifa" be thoroughly investigated under the highest legal standards and practices," Trump wrote on his social network "Truth Social".
Earlier this week, the White House announced its intention to deal with "left-wing domestic terrorism".
The suspect in Kirk's murder, Tyler Robinson, has been described as a "far-left killer" because he denounced the "hate" that he said Kirk spread to his family and friends, and used ammunition engraved with anti-fascist messages.
On Tuesday, Robinson was charged with death penalty.
