It is too early to say whether last night's drone incursion into Danish airspace is linked to recent Russian incursions, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said today during a press conference, Sky News reports.
Denmark is currently investigating what happened, the NATO chief added. He made the announcement shortly after finishing a phone call with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, just before the start of the press conference.
We recall that yesterday, September 22, Denmark's largest airport was forced to close after police reported that two or three large drones were spotted flying in the area.
Frederiksen said earlier that she could not rule out potential Russian involvement.
