Over 20 people were injured in the Israeli city of Eilat in a drone attack launched by Yemeni Houthi rebels, the "Times of Israel" newspaper reported, quoted by BTA.
The drone exploded in a commercial area after the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) failed to intercept it. The attack came days after a Houthi drone crashed into a hotel in the resort town.
Medics said two of the victims in today's attack were in serious condition and were taken by military helicopter to a hospital in Beersheba.
Most of the injured were hit by shrapnel.
The army admitted that attempts to intercept the drone were unsuccessful. Two interceptor missiles were fired at the drone by the "Iron Dome" system.
The Iranian-backed Yemeni Houthi rebels, who often carry out attacks on Eilat.
