Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has threatened attacks on the Kremlin if Russia does not end the war against his country, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.
“First they need to know where their bomb shelters are. If they do not end the war, they will need them“, he said in an interview with “The Axios Show“ in New York, DPA reported.
Zelensky also said that he hopes the US will provide Ukraine with long-range weapons. At the same time, however, he ruled out the possibility of attacks on civilian targets. “We are not terrorists“, the Ukrainian president said.
According to Zelensky, the Ukrainian armed forces already have drones that can fly at distances of up to 3,000 kilometers. The Kremlin is only about 450 kilometers from the border with Ukraine, DPA notes.
Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, who is now deputy chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, issued a sharp warning to Zelensky and threatened to strike Kiev.
“The junkie in Kiev said that the Kremlin needs to know where the bomb shelter is so that its inhabitants can hide when it uses American long-range weapons. What the freak needs to know is that Russia can use weapons against which a bomb shelter will not protect it. "The Americans should also keep this in mind," Medvedev wrote in "Ex", referring to Zelensky's demands that the US provide Ukraine with such weapons.
In May 2023, two drones exploded over the Kremlin, where the Russian president's office is located, DPA recalls. However, Kiev denied having anything to do with it at the time.
