Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on calling up citizens of the Russian Federation for military service in October-December 2025.
The document was published on the official legal information portal, reports TASS, quoted by Focus.
"To carry out from October 1 to December 31, 2025, conscription for military service of citizens of the Russian Federation aged 18 to 30 who are not in the reserve and are subject to conscription for military service, in the amount of 135 thousand people“, the text of the document states.
The same decree orders the dismissal from military service of soldiers, sailors, sergeants and foremen whose term of military service by law has expired.
Ensuring the implementation of all necessary measures within the framework of the conscription campaign is entrusted to the Government of the Russian Federation, regional authorities and conscription commissions.
Also, federal ministers, heads of federal services and federal agencies are obliged to ensure the conscription of citizens of the Russian Federation hired for military service in federal ministries and other federal executive bodies, as well as in organizations subordinate to the relevant federal executive bodies.
