The Russian government has imposed restrictions on the export of gasoline and diesel fuel until the end of this year, the cabinet announced on its official Telegram channel, quoted by TASS, BTA reports.

The ban on gasoline exports has been extended to all market participants, while that on diesel fuel, marine fuel and some types of gas oil will apply only to exporters who are not producers.

„The new decree extends the temporary ban on gasoline exports from the country. It will be in force until December 31, 2025 inclusive and will apply to all exporters, including direct producers,“, the government statement said.

An additional decree prohibits the export of diesel fuel, marine fuel and other types of gas oil, including those purchased on the exchange. The restriction does not apply to deliveries made directly by fuel producers.

The government emphasizes its commitment to maintaining the stability of the domestic fuel market. The new measures will come into force the day after the official publication of the order and will remain in force until December 31, 2025 inclusive.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak specified that the ban on gasoline exports will not apply to deliveries under intergovernmental agreements and that the new measures will ensure additional supply to the market with petroleum products that are currently being exported.

Currently, the ban on gasoline exports is in force until September 30 for all market participants and until October 31 for exporters who are not producers.
