Germany is ready to actively support the practical implementation of the peace plan for the Gaza Strip proposed by US President Donald Trump, German Foreign Minister Johann Wadeful said, quoted by DPA and BTA.
At the same time, the German minister said that the plan cannot be implemented immediately.
According to Wadeful, there are many question marks about the way the plan is expected to work, including how Gaza will be governed in the future, how security will be guaranteed, how humanitarian aid will be resumed and how the reconstruction of the Palestinian enclave will be organized.
"This will be a difficult process," the Foreign Minister noted.
Wadeful also said that Germany can play a major role in resolving operational issues, with the German government already pledging to participate in the reconstruction of Gaza.
