French military have boarded a tanker, stopped for inspections off the French coast and suspected of being part of the Russian so-called “shadow fleet“. According to authorities, the vessel may have been involved in the drone incident over Denmark, reported Agence France-Presse, quoted by BTA.
Witnesses say that armed soldiers in camouflage uniforms and masks were spotted on the deck of the ship in the afternoon. They patrolled and guarded the vessel, and footage of the operation was captured by an AFP photographer and video journalist from the air.
The military confirmed that the tanker was “detained last Saturday“, after which “an inspection team boarded it“.
