Primary and secondary schools in almost all cities in Serbia have received emails warning of planted explosive devices today, TANJUG reported, BTA reported.

Police stations in Serbia, including Belgrade, Novi Sad, Subotica, Čačak, Prijepolje, Vranje, have received reports of bombs planted in a total of 807 primary and secondary schools by 9:30 a.m. (10:30 a.m. Bulgarian time) today, the Ministry of Interior announced.

Children have been evacuated from schools, and police are on the ground conducting checks. The Ministry of Interior added that police officers are acting in accordance with the Instructions on how to work when receiving information or a signal about a planted explosive device.

In several schools in Subotica, Northern Serbia, it was determined that this was a false alarm.

Police officers from the High-Tech Crimes Service will contact partners abroad, using all available mechanisms for international cooperation, to identify the sender of the threats.
