Iran does not plan to immediately resume negotiations with European countries over its nuclear program after they restored sanctions. This was stated by the spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, quoted by “Agence France-Presse“, reports News.bg.
“At this stage, we have no plans for negotiations“, said Esmail Baghaei, adding that Iran is studying “the consequences and implications“ of the reimposition of sanctions initiated by France, Britain and Germany.
“We are focused on examining the effects and consequences of the actions of the three European countries and the United States. "It is natural that diplomacy should continue in the form of consultations," he said at a press conference.
The spokesman also called on all countries to "refrain from implementing" the UN sanctions against Iran, officially imposed in September.
