The plan of the President of the United States of America Donald Trump to end the war in the Gaza Strip, although general, represents the best option currently on the negotiating table. This was stated today by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, RIA Novosti reports, quoted by Focus.
In an interview for the project “Bridges to the East“ Lavrov stressed that Russia considers Trump's plan a positive step, since its main goal is “a quick end to the bloodshed, saving human lives and rebuilding the Gaza Strip, Gaza City or what is left of them“.
He added that Russia considers this plan realistic if the Palestinians accept it, and stressed the importance of an immediate cessation of all hostilities.
