US President Donald Trump hopes peace deal between Israel and Palestinian Hamas will move beyond Gaza conflict and lead to peace in Middle East.

„This is great for Israel, for Muslims, for Arab countries, for our country. It's great that we were able to participate in this and make sure that this deal was reached. "This is more than Gaza, this is peace in the Middle East," he said in an interview with Fox News.

Earlier, Trump announced that representatives of Israel and the radical Palestinian movement Hamas had signed agreements on the first phase of the peace plan after talks in Egypt. He said that this phase includes the release of all hostages "in the near future" and the withdrawal of Israeli troops to an agreed line in the Gaza Strip. Trump believes the first steps have been taken “towards a lasting, secure and long-lasting peace“.

Trump said that the United States, along with other countries, will participate in the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.

“I think you're going to see people start to understand each other, you're going to see the reconstruction of Gaza“, Trump said in an interview with Fox News, noting that the United States hopes to create a “peace council“, which will “discuss a lot of issues related to Gaza“. The head of the White House surprisingly stated that “The Middle East has united“. “They have very rich countries and even a small part of that wealth could allow them to do a lot there. We will be involved in that,” Trump said.

The exchange of Israeli hostages for Palestinian prisoners as part of the deal between Israel and Hamas could take place on October 13, Trump added.

“The hostages will be released. It will probably happen on Monday. A lot is being done right now to release the hostages,“ he said, adding that the bodies of the dead hostages would also be returned.

Following the US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, the United States and Iran are discussing a possible deal, Trump said in an interview with Fox News.

“After the strikes, we are now at a point where Iran, myself and some other people are discussing a deal. "This is a very different Iran," he said, without specifying what kind of agreement between Tehran and Washington he was referring to.

In 2025, five rounds of nuclear talks between Iran and the United States ended in failure.
