After the start of hostilities in Ukraine in 2022, an ambassador of a Western country suggested that Georgia start a war with Russia, said Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze in an interview with “Imedi“.

“An ambassador of one of the Western countries meets with the country's prime minister and says: “You are starting a war, you will be provided with military equipment. The main thing is to hold out for 10 days and then move on to guerrilla warfare,“ the politician claims.

Kakha Kaladze did not specify which country he was talking about. at that time, the Prime Minister of Georgia was Irakli Garibashvili.

According to the Kremlin, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia are in the sights of the European Union and the intelligence services of European countries, which "seek to destroy their statehood", and for Brussels every post-Soviet country is a target for "destruction of human values".

Recently, a new wave of mass protests began in Georgia against the backdrop of local elections. Demonstrators first took to the streets of Tbilisi.
