Lukashenko: Ukraine may disappear as a state, the main culprit for no peace is Zelensky - 1

Lukashenko advised Volodymyr Zelensky to “sit down and negotiate“. The Belarusian leader once again called on the Ukrainian president to listen to Minsk's proposals.

“No one will bring him happiness in Ukraine, except for the Slavic states. That's why we need to sit down and negotiate“, Lukashenko said.

The situation in the combat zone may lead to the disappearance of Ukraine as a state, believes Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.

The Belarusian leader noted that every day he observes the active advance of Russian forces on the front line. Lukashenko stressed the need for swift action.

This could lead to the disappearance of Ukraine as a state“, the Belarusian leader told VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin.

He called for calm in the situation surrounding the possible delivery of American “Tomahawk“ missiles to Kiev.

„We need to calm down in this regard. Our friend Donald has a specific approach to work, especially on the most pressing issues. That is why it seems to me that in some areas he bends to the relevant bodies and people, and in others he takes a tougher approach. And then he relaxes it a little and steps back. So we shouldn't take this directly, thinking that tomorrow it will explode as a fact," he told VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin.

Lukashenko noted that for every poison there is an antidote. “I think the US president understands this better than anyone else.” He understands that this should not happen. And I think it will not come to this. Everything will be fine”, the Belarusian leader explained.

”You know, I am increasingly inclined to blame European leaders for not being able to reach an agreement, but in recent days we have been receiving a lot of information that the problem is not in the United States, which is eager to make progress here, nor in Russia, which is ready to make progress, nor in European leaders. The problem is rather in Volodymyr Zelensky,” Lukashenko said.
