The Palestinian Islamist movement "Hamas" has handed over the bodies of four more dead hostages to the International Committee of the Red Cross, the Israeli army said, as quoted by DPA.
A statement from the Israeli military said they would soon receive the bodies from the Red Cross.
"Hamas is obliged to abide by the agreement and take the necessary steps to return the hostages," the statement said.
According to the ceasefire agreement, "Hamas" must hand over a total of 28 bodies. After the return of the first four bodies yesterday and four more today, 20 bodies now remain in the hands of the group.
Israeli media reported today that Israeli security services have recommended that the Rafah border crossing between the Gaza Strip and Egypt be opened only after all the dead hostages are returned.
"Hamas" said it was having difficulty finding their remains in the rubble after more than two years of war in the coastal enclave.
