Russian military forces carried out a massive drone attack in Dnipropetrovsk region on Wednesday evening, the head of the regional military administration, Sergiy Lysak, reported, quoted by the BBC, reports News.bg.
According to him, the attack resulted in fires in Pavlograd, Kamenskoye and Sinelnikovo districts.
„The energy infrastructure was damaged. In addition, there was destruction of transport and industrial facilities“,
Lysak wrote on Telegram.
He specified that a 19-year-old man was injured and hospitalized in moderately serious condition. In addition, new strikes were reported in the frontline zone of Nikolsky district.
Infrastructure damage and power outages
The energy company “Ukrenergo“ has ordered emergency power outages in the region, DTEK reported. The company did not comment directly on the Russian strikes, but indicated that the damage to the infrastructure is significant.
Over a hundred drones detected over Ukraine
On the night of October 15, the Ukrainian Air Force detected 113 drones, of which about 50 were Iranian “Shahid“. According to preliminary data, the air defense forces managed to shoot down 86 of them.
Nevertheless, 26 strike drones reached their targets, causing damage to 11 different sites in the country.
