Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has prepared a list of promises to US President Donald Trump in order to receive new supplies of American weapons, Bloomberg writes, quoted by Focus.
The list was prepared by the Ukrainian politician on the eve of the meeting with Trump on October 17. Kiev is expected to offer the US to exchange arms and energy supplies for Ukrainian drone technology.
"This partnership is not only a strategic advantage for Ukraine, but also a real contribution to the security of the US and its allies around the world“, commented on this initiative by Ukrainian Ambassador to the US Olga Stefanyshyna.
At the meeting with Trump on October 17, Zelensky and Trump will discuss the supply of air defense missiles and long-range Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, as well as support for Ukraine's energy sector against the backdrop of strikes by the Russian armed forces on Ukrainian infrastructure facilities.
Ukraine continues to offer the US to provide its gas storage facilities on preferential terms for storing American liquefied natural gas.
On October 16, it became known that Ukraine had received the first two batches of weapons under the PURL initiative. Two more batches of weapons are currently being prepared for shipment.
Previously, NATO pressure was reported on member states that do not want to buy weapons for Kiev from the United States.
