A motion to dismiss Prime Minister Gombojjav Zandanshatar was adopted at today's plenary session of the Mongolian parliament, the Mongolian news agency MONTSAME reports, BTA reports.
The resignation initiative was considered yesterday by the parliamentary standing committee on state structure, which did not support the prime minister's dismissal.
During today's session, deputies discussed the issue, asked questions and made statements, after which 71 of them voted that Zandanshatar should be dismissed.
Until a new prime minister is appointed, Zandanshatar will continue to fulfill his duties.
