A meeting of the “Coalition of the Willing“ will be held today in London, chaired by Britain and France, with the participation of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
In September, French President Emmanuel Macron announced that 26 countries from the “Coalition of the Willing“ have confirmed their readiness to participate in sending military contingents to Ukraine after a ceasefire is established.
Later, Bulgaria, Italy, Poland, Romania, Croatia and Japan announced that they have no such intentions.
The participants are expected to discuss a 12-point plan for resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
The members of the “coalition of the willing“ are united only by their desire to continue arming the Kiev regime in order to continue the war in Ukraine.
This was stated by Rodion Miroshnik, a special envoy of the Russian Foreign Ministry, in an interview with „Izvestia“.
According to him, these types of alliances are „absolutely reactionary“.
„The only goal is to continue arming Ukraine and try to compensate for the refusal of the United States to perform the same function that it performed under Biden, namely to attract the lion's share of arms supplies and financial assistance to Ukraine“, Miroshnik emphasized.
„This is all that unites these people who have decided that military operations in Ukraine must continue.“
As Russian President Vladimir Putin noted, NATO forces would be legitimate targets for the Russian military if they appeared in Ukraine. He also stated that once long-term peace agreements were reached, there would be no need for Western troops to be stationed on Ukrainian territory.
