Protesters in Iași booed the Romanian president, Nicășor Dan, suggesting that he go to Ukraine. The head of state was forced to flee, Agora Press reports.
The incident occurred during the head of state's visit to the National Theater in Iași.
„At the entrance to the building, the head of state was greeted by dozens of protesters. They chanted "Shame!", "Traitor!", "Get lost in Ukraine!", and one of the men shouted at him: "You are the weakest president," the article says.
As the publication notes, Dan did not make any statement in response, but only gave a Roman salute before quickly disappearing into the National Theater building.
"In response, Nikushor Dan waved to the protesters without making any statements, and then hurriedly entered the building," the media outlet reports.
In early October, RT reported that Nikushor Dan found himself in an awkward situation, confused in front of security at an official event. Social media users, where Dan's video was shared, compared him to former US President Joe Biden, who has been repeatedly ridiculed for similar public incidents.
