Poland will establish a Satellite Operations Center as soon as possible, Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced, quoted by the Polish PAP agency, BTA reports.
The announcement was made yesterday at a press conference accompanying an event of the "Civic Coalition" - a new political party formed a day earlier by merging three parties from the ruling coalition: "Civic Platform", "Novoceśna" and "Iniciativa Polska".
Tusk explained that the decision to establish the center was made after discussions between politicians and experts during the second day of the national congress of the "Civic Coalition", in connection with Poland's presence in space and related issues. capabilities.
“We have brilliant people. Poland is becoming a regional leader. We also have the resources to create a Satellite Operations Center that will coordinate activities and provide interaction for everyone who knows how to use our satellite capabilities in Poland as soon as possible“, the Prime Minister emphasized.
He added that thanks to the presence of Finance and Economy Minister Andrzej Domanski, the discussion of the decision did not take long.
