At least 16 people died after a bus fell off a cliff in the Cochabamba department of Bolivia, the newspaper “El Deber“ reported, citing police.
The bus went off the road and fell into a 600-meter ravine. The driver has been detained and is suspected of speeding and losing control of the bus on a bend.
More than 20 people were injured. Residents of a nearby village were the first to arrive at the scene of the accident and began to provide assistance to the passengers, many of whom were trapped in the bus.
It was traveling from the city of Quilacolo to the city of Independencia.
