Prince Andrew will lose his title and move out of the royal residence, a Buckingham Palace statement said.
His Majesty today began the formal process to remove Prince Andrew's style, titles and honors.
Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. His lease on the Royal Lodge currently provides him with legal protection to continue to reside. An official notice to quit the lease has already been served and he will move into alternative private accommodation. These censorships are considered necessary, despite the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him.
Their Majesties wish to make it clear that their thoughts and deepest sympathies have been and remain with the victims and survivors of all forms of violence.
Andrew has been given formal notice to give up his lease on his Windsor estate, Royal Lodge. In early October, Andrew voluntarily gave up most of his titles.
