The Dutch centrist party "Democrats 66" (D66) has narrowly won the Dutch parliamentary elections, the election commission in The Hague announced late last night after all votes, including those from abroad, were finally counted, DPA reported.

The election commission confirmed that "Democrats 66", led by Rob Jetten, and the far-right populist Party for Freedom of Geert Wilders, had each won 26 seats in the 150-seat parliament, but that D66 had received more votes.

The election office of the ANP news agency predicted a victory for the "Democrats 66" party last Friday based on preliminary results.

The official results of the Dutch parliamentary elections will be announced on November 7th.
