The Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan announced that the process of establishing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan has reached a stage where the agreements reached must be translated into real actions. This was reported by the Armenian ARMENPRESS agency, BTA reports.
According to him, this is a strategic agreement between the two countries, which determines the framework of their future relations.
“The essence of this agreement is as follows - Armenia and Azerbaijan mutually recognize their territorial integrity on the basis of the Almaty Declaration, open regional transport and economic ties in accordance with the declaration signed on August 8 in Washington, define their borders according to the agreed rules and commit to living in peace“, Pashinyan said.
He stressed that achieving and maintaining peace requires daily efforts, adding that the government and people of Armenia remain firmly committed to this goal.
Earlier, Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev indicated that the signing of the Washington Declaration in August laid the foundations for sustainable peace between the two countries.
