Crude oil inventories in the US, excluding the quantities in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, increased by 6.4 million barrels in the week ended November 7, reaching a total of 427.6 million barrels, the Associated Press reports, News.bg reports.
The information is based on the latest report from the US Energy Information Administration.
The average amount of crude oil processed in US refineries was 16 million barrels per day - 717,000 barrels per day more than the previous week. Refineries operated at 89.4% of capacity.
Gasoline production also increased, reaching an average of 9.9 million barrels per day.
Crude oil imports into the country fell by 703,000 barrels per day on a weekly basis, reaching an average of 5.2 million barrels per day.
