In the village of Khoptivka, Derkhachi municipality, Kharkiv region, an 80-year-old woman died after picking up a Russian drone from the ground, which exploded in her hands, Ukrinform reports, BTA reports.
The agency refers to a post on Telegram by the head of the Derkhachi military administration, Vyacheslav Zadorenko. The incident occurred today at around 09:00.
„The woman, without considering the risk to her life and safety, picked up a Russian drone, which exploded in her hands. "She received fatal injuries and died on the spot," the statement said.
Zadorenko stressed that under no circumstances should citizens touch suspicious objects, but immediately report them by calling 112, 101 or 102.
