The Ukrainian armed forces said on Monday they had struck a Russian oil refinery in Ryazan, adding that multiple explosions and a large fire were observed at the site, Reuters and Ukrinform reported.

Ukrainian forces also struck the “Nebo-U“ radar station located on the occupied Crimean peninsula, a military train near the temporarily occupied city of Tokmak in Zaporizhia region and groups of Russian servicemen near Vovchansk in Kharkiv region, the Ukrainian General Staff reported on “Facebook“.

Ryazan is located about 200 kilometers southeast of Moscow.

The refinery produces A-92/95/98/100 gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, liquefied gases and other petroleum products. It produces an average of 840,000 tons of aviation kerosene "TS-1" annually, which is used by the Russian Aerospace Forces.
