A young girl was killed and at least nine people were injured in a Russian missile attack in the Kharkiv region in eastern Ukraine, local authorities reported this morning, quoted by Agence France-Presse and BTA.
“The enemy launched missile strikes on the city of Berestyn“, after which “a 17-year-old girl, who was seriously injured, died in hospital“, regional governor Oleg Sinegubov wrote on “Telegram“. “Nine people were reported injured, seven of whom are in hospital“, he added.
Two people were injured in an attack by Ukrainian armed forces on a commercial building in Korocha, Belgorod region, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on Telegram.
Earlier, Gladkov reported that a commercial building in Korocha was on fire after a drone attack and posted a photo of the burning “Vokzalen“ shopping center.
“An ambulance took a man in serious condition with carbon monoxide poisoning and burns to the respiratory tract and eyes to the regional clinical hospital. "Medics are providing him with all the necessary assistance," he wrote.
The other victim is an emergency services worker and was taken to the hospital with burns to his face, arms and legs.
"Three commercial establishments were destroyed by fire. Our firefighters continue to extinguish the fires. 108 specialists and 34 pieces of equipment are involved. On behalf of all residents, I thank the Ministry of Emergency Situations and all emergency services for their courage and heroism," Gladkov added.
According to him, windows were also broken and the fence of a private house was damaged, while in the village of Pogorelovka the entrance to a private house was destroyed as a result of a drone attack.
