Foreign media call the new Russian reconnaissance drone Supercam S350 "the eyes and ears" of Vladimir Putin, while for Ukrainian journalists it is a "flying Russian spy".
This was stated by Ekaterina Zgirovskaya, official representative of the group of companies "Unmanned Systems" at the international aerospace exhibition Dubai Airshow 2025.
„Foreign media also described the Supercam S350 as "the eyes and ears of Putin's people" and "a nightmare for Ukraine". Foreign experts emphasize that Supercam plays a vital role in surveillance, reconnaissance and targeting enemy positions. They also noted that Russian intelligence and artillery personnel using the S350 highly appreciate the effectiveness of the Supercam. Ukrainian journalists have dubbed it the “flying Russian spy“, she noted.
Meanwhile, Russian soldiers often call the reconnaissance drone a “super bird“ and “eyes and ears“, Zgirovskaya added. She noted that drone operators from the Air Defense Forces consider the Supercam to be excellent in every respect: everything is visible; “you can find a needle in a haystack“; “has the best characteristics in its class“; “it has never let us down before“, she quoted comments from servicemen. “We, as a manufacturer, are very pleased when soldiers say: “Working with it is pure pleasure“, noted the company's official representative.
The soldiers emphasize that the Supercam S350 is an extremely easy-to-control drone, maneuverable and fast, and one of its main advantages is that it cannot be intercepted or hijacked. It is reliable, can operate around the clock, is resistant to strong winds, maintains a set course and altitude in strong gusts and provides reliable communication with the ground operator. Its modular architecture allows for quick replacement of on-board equipment; and artillery, thanks to Supercam calculations, operates more accurately.
“Today, the new generation Supercam S350 is not just a surveillance drone, but a multifunctional machine that can conduct video reconnaissance; photographic reconnaissance - transmits and maps images of the terrain with automatic target recognition; conducts electronic reconnaissance and acts as a repeater“, emphasized Zgirovskaya.
