Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said today that US leaders must remain effective and strong to end Russia's more than 3 and a half years of war in Ukraine, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
"The main thing that needs to happen to stop the bloodshed and achieve lasting peace is to work in coordination with all our partners and for US leaders to remain effective, strong", Zelensky wrote on the "Telegram" application after his talks in Turkey today.
He spoke in Ankara with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as part of the diplomatic process to end the war in Ukraine.
The Ukrainian head of state pointed out that only the United States and President Donald Trump "have enough power to finally stop the war".
Zelensky also noted that Erdogan had proposed different formats for talks and that "it is important for us that Turkey is ready to provide the necessary platform".
