According to Israeli defense officials quoted by the “Jerusalem Post“, “Hamas“ is coordinating its actions with “Hezbollah“ and Iran to revive and strengthen the so-called “axis of resistance“, reports News.bg.

In response, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are expanding their strikes in both Gaza and Southern Lebanon. The analysis of the situation includes an operation in which the commander of the “Zeitoun“ battalion in Gaza was killed, as well as a series of airstrikes in Lebanon, raising questions about potential rocket fire from Gaza and Israel's next steps in the northern front.

Officials note that US pressure has so far limited a more aggressive Israeli response to Hezbollah's ceasefire violations.

According to Southern Command sources, Hamas' military wing has been rebuilding its forces since the ceasefire went into effect, gathering intelligence, recruiting and training operatives, and preparing for a possible escalation.

The group is seeking opportunities for limited, surprise attacks against Israel Defense Forces units in Palestinian territory, violating the ceasefire agreement.

In parallel, Hamas and Hezbollah in Lebanon, with financial and logistical support from Iran, are working to rebuild terrorist infrastructure, smuggle and move weapons into southern Lebanon and the Bekaa. recruiting new operatives and stepping up training for future conflicts against Israel.

Military sources indicate that „Hezbollah“ is acting in violation of ceasefire agreements, countering the demilitarization of South Lebanon. The latest IDF strikes have targeted „Hezbollah“ infrastructure and operatives involved in restoring its capacity.

The commander of the Northern Command would like a more aggressive response to „Hezbollah“ violations, but for now the US is limiting Israel's actions.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's visit to Syria, accompanied by the defense minister, foreign minister and director of „Shin Bet“, was intended to send a message to the US and Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa that Israel will not give up from the Golan Heights security belt.

This comes against the backdrop of recent statements by the Syrian president about normalizing relations with Israel in exchange for the withdrawal of the Israeli Defense Forces from the Golan Heights.

However, security officials are not impressed by the rapprochement between the White House and Damascus achieved through Turkey, pointing out that Al-Sharaa's past as a jihadist cannot be forgotten so quickly.
