The American administration specifies that the future agreement must fully respect Ukraine's sovereignty. Secretary of State Marco Rubio expressed satisfaction and optimism about the work of the negotiating teams.
The final decisions will be made personally by the presidents of the United States and Ukraine, with Volodymyr Zelensky expected to travel to Washington. The topic will also be a focus of the talks of European leaders during the EU-African Union summit in Luanda.
